El Sennari's house

El Sennari's house, Located far from the main tourist attractions of Egypt, Cairo, travelers who visit Egypt always miss the medieval Arab neighborhoods, but today we offer our travelers a second time in Cairo to know (Beit El Sennari) the Sennari House, located near the Sayeda Zeinab Mosque in Cairo.

The El Sennari house was built by Ibrahim Khatkhuda El Sennari, a wealthy merchant in 1794. One of the characteristics of the house is that it was used by French scientists when they carried out the book of description of Egypt in the early 19th century, with the French occupation of Egypt in 1789.

El Sennari's house presents one of the largest window displays called in Arabic (Mashrabeya) one of the largest enchanting in Egypt. There is also the common open courtyard that is often found in many historical houses and mosques in Egypt.

The house also has some caving ornaments and wooden decorations. It would be a recommended visit for travelers enjoying their holidays in Egypt who would like to take a trip back in time.
